position summary

the global mobility counselor is responsible for the overall management of the mobility process for relocating employees, by educating, advocating, and expertly coordinating services.

essential job functions

  • proactively communicate with clients and relocating employees with a focus on expertise and advocacy
  • develop relationships with our clients and relocating employees
  • learn each client’s organizational culture, and philosophy toward relocation costs and benefits, in order to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • educate and advise relocating employees on expectations, expenses, taxes, timelines, service options, and resources
  • coordinate service events during the relocation or assignment and monitor for effectiveness, cost, and quality of the service provided
  • use creative problem-solving skills to proactively lead clients and relocating employees
  • support internal and external customers in the facilitation and understanding of relocation expense processes
  • aggressively collaborate with Plus team members on service improvement opportunities and program enhancements
  • participate in client reviews, policy discussions, and new client implementations
  • proactively communicate and recommend program improvements to the client relations manager
  • provide real estate and mortgage leads to respective departments

additional requirements

  • college degree preferred
  • minimum 3 years of experience in similar position within the mobility industry
  • availability to participate in the rotation of the team after hours cell phone by answering phone calls and emails as assigned
  • accessible to team members, clients, and relocating employees after hours as needed
