position summary

the global supply chain manager is responsible for managing the supply chain in the Americas regions to ensure relocation services administered by third-party providers align with the needs of Plus’s clients. The manager is also responsible for leading the regional global supply chain team who oversee the selection and management of regional third-party relocation service providers.

essential job functions

  • oversee and manage the execution of end to end supplier management including, but not limited to, ongoing analysis, sourcing, contract management, onboarding, ongoing training and performance management
  • act as regional supply chain management leader and subject matter expert
  • collaborate with VP Global Supply Chain and other regional managers to ensure the implementation of supplier management strategies are consistent with global best practices across regions
  • ensure all client needs and goals are met in partnership across the organization by collaborating with internal service teams
  • act as regional Global Supply Chain representation for internal and external meetings and events such as client reviews and professional conferences
  • participate in sales support activity including but not limited to; RFP content contribution, best and final presentations and other prospective client activities
  • serve as the regional level of escalation
  • provide indirect and direct client consulting as needed

manager functions

  • maintain and monitor team workload, performance, and service delivery quality
  • determine baseline service performance metrics and set goals for excellence
  • ensure successful completion of direct reports’ Performance Goals
  • assess developmental needs and assist in the initial and ongoing training and education opportunities
  • conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews with recommendations for salary increases, promotions, and disciplinary action as appropriate
  • oversee allocation of resources and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service
  • provide guidance for team members regarding the resolution of routine as well as complex operational and customer service situations
  • participate in the interviewing, hiring, and retention of highly engaged employees

additional requirements

  • college degree preferred
  • minimum 2-3 years of experience managing a team
  • experience working in a similar role in the global mobility industry preferred
  • must be willing to work extra hours and/or outside customary business hours as needed
